It's the most WONDERfilled time of the year, and we had the best time decking the halls and getting in the holiday spirit at the Ali Briskey designs wreath workshop, hosted by Kelly Simonson of lark and june in downtown Corvallis, OR.
Kelly's brand new store is a beautiful and thoughtful addition to the downtown scene. If you are in the area and haven't stopped in, you must do so! One of a kind and handpicked by Kelly, you wont be disappointed by the variety and beauty of her wonderful inventory. Not a local? You can check her out and purchase online!
lark and june's minimalist vibe made for the perfect workshop space! Kelly repurposed and covered her handmade display tables, turning the lovely shop into a creative studio workspace for the festivities. Handmade ornaments were my small gift to each participant who took a break from their busy lives to join us and get their wreath on!
Local photographer and dear friend Amanda of amanda photographic joined us for the evening, blessing us with her talent, wit, and these lovely images . . .
Each participant was given the same materials, direction and basic techniques, and from there it was up to their imagination. It was so fun to see each unique piece come to life!
I have been a bit obsessed with pine cones this season, a new shape, variety and texture with each one! I am loving the huge tree in my neighbor's yard and the blustery wind storms that keep delivering these beauties straight to my doorstep.
Cheers to the holidays, a successful workshop, new friends made,
beautiful wreaths and an annual tradition born!
If you missed us this year, keep an eye out for more workshops to come in 2016.
